Anoushka Shankar

Anoushka Shankar is a British American musician and sitarist, is most well-known for her music. She received the British House of Commons' Shield as the youngest, and also the first female recipient. In addition to receiving nine Grammy nominations and nine Grammy nominations, she also became the very first Indian-origin musician to perform in the live ceremony. Anoushka Shakar, a young emerging superstar on the Indian Sitar is Anoushka. She is a student and daughter of the famous Ravi Shankar. Born in London and grew up in New Delhi, she spent the beginning of her career traveling between London as well as New Delhi. She gave her debut performance in New Delhi at the tender age of thirteen. After moving to Encinitas, California in 1999, she was awarded the high-school diploma. While she's still young, Anouskha has an impressive performing and recording. Her father has accompanied her in many performances for many years. Her debut single album Anourag in the year 1998. A year later, she dropped the Grammy nominated album Live in Carnegie Hall. Her career on stage is broad as she's been in every one of the biggest venues in the world. Anoushka Shankar's work isn't only limited to music. In 2002, she wrote a book entitled Bapi The of My Life. of My Live this is an illustrated biography that gives a special honor to her late father Ravi Shankar. Also, she has acted. in the 2003 movie Dance Like a Man, where she played the role of a Bharat natyam dancing young girl. Anoushka's career is still developing and she is expected to achieve great success in the future. Anoushka lived a long time between London and Delhi during her young years. Later, she moved to California for high school. Anoushka Shankar started her musical studies at the age of nine. After four years she performed her music debut with the sitar Delhi at her father's 75th birthday party. Anoushka was a part of her father during his world tour, gained a remarkable number of experiences. When she was in her teens, she performed in Carnegie Hall as part of Peter Gabriel's WOMAD and even recorded with George Harrison. In recognition of being an outstanding musician in the field of Asian Arts, she was presented with the House of Commons Shield by British Parliament.
